retreat-5If you seek the thrill of a hunt and rugged play in the wilds with professional guides, teamed with gourmet cooking instruction and luxurious digs, you’ll jump at this creative retreat.

Classically-trained chef Georgia Pellegrini, 21st Century hunter and gatherer, and author of Girl Hunter, returns to her home state of Texas to host the much anticipated Couples Dove Hunting Adventure Getaway. Picosa Paloma Ranches in Hill Country will host the event from Friday, October 11 to Sunday October 13, 2013. The three-day, two-night weekend adventure ($3,750/couple), limited to a group of 20, is centered on the first ever dove hunting experience for Georgia’s guests and fans.
Beginning with practice rounds of clay shooting, the weekend will culminate in four dove hunts with a professional guide, followed by field dressing and gourmet bird cooking classes. Additional activities include scenic ATV riding, mechanical prairie dog shooting, rope lessons, and more. Luxury suite accommodations and gourmet chef-prepared meals provide an indulgent backdrop.

“Sharing an outdoor adventure with my guests is something that is special to me, and very different each time,” says Pellegrini. “I’m thrilled to be hosting an event tailored for guests and their significant others, as well as providing an unforgettable experience that will form lasting bonds and memories.”
Pellegrini’s personal food philosophy of tapping into a more fundamental state of being, stepping away from the familiar and experiencing food straight from the source, is a driving force of her Adventure Getaways. Her professional resume includes Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Pocantico Hills, NY, Gramercy Tavern in New York City, and La GeorgiaChassagnette, a Michelin-starred restaurant in the south of France.
