Canada Place, Vancouver

Canada’s spectacular west coast city, Vancouver will play host for the second time to the Cruise Lines International Association’s (CLIA) cruise3sixty conference and trade show. Over 2,200 cruise professionals from around the globe are expected to attend the event at the Vancouver Convention Centre from June 19th to 23rd, 2013.

Vancouver with its stunning landscape, diverse attractions, vibrant culinary scene and shopping combined with world-class cruise facilities lends itself perfectly as the premiere meeting destination and ideal gateway for cruise vacations to the Great White North. Disney Wonder, Norwegian Sun, Oceania’s Regatta, and Holland America Line’s Amsterdam have made Vancouver their home port for the 2013 cruise season, which runs from May to September. Disney Wonder is offering 16 round-trip sailings on their Alaskan itineraries out of Vancouver, and Norwegian Sun with nine sailings.

Vancouver Gastown

Rated as one of the most beautiful and livable cities in the world by Condé Nast Traveler and the Economist’s Global Livability Survey, Vancouver is the only Alaskan cruise ship homeport that offers one-way journey through Canada’s Inside Passage, which trails along British Columbia’s West Coast up to Alaska. Enroute, visitors experience the magnificent glaciers, enjoy a glimpse of rare wildlife including humpback whales, and see the Best of Canada’s West Coast with options to stopover in Victoria, Nanaimo and Prince Rupert.

Many epic expeditions began in huge oceanbound vessels. Cruising allows travellers to reach places that are otherwise inaccessible or have limited access like the British Columbia, Alaska coast. A wonderful family vacation option for travellers of all ages. There are so many choices for onboard activities to keep travellers entertained, from watching live band performances to hands-on cooking classes led by celebrity chefs.

For those requiring Special Needs at Sea, Special Needs Group offers a one-stop shop for purchase or rental of equipment such as wheelchairs, scooters, power chairs, oxygen and more.
