Many people are too old to learn to ride a HorseEdited by Madelyn Miller, the travelLady When I have a chance to go horseback riding, I always tell everyone I am a beginner, so I can get the nice, gentle horses. I have been a beginner for over forty years.
Maybe you can’t teach an old dog new trips, but you can teach a teenager to ride a horse. I am a little too old to do this, but envy every lucky teenager who gets to do it. Cross Country International offers three special weeks for teens to ride horses and study Spanish. This summer, teens ages 13-19, can improve their riding and study Spanish at one of Madrid’s most beautiful equestrian estates, “ El Molino” with top instructor, Salvador Fabregas.
