Stay in Greenwich Village This Summer and Enjoy New York City Shopping Discounts

Shopping in New York City just got even better! For the fifth year, Washington Square Hotel, located in the heart of Greenwich Village, is featuring its "Downtown Shopping Experience". Now through Labor Day, unique boutiques and classic New York shops are offering a discount or a complimentary gift with purchase to guests of this family-run hotel. Hotel guests receive a shopping card upon check-in, with a neighborhood map and a list of the participating stores and their special offers. The ten participating shops are:

Zachary’s Smile: a boutique stocked with vintage and vintage-inspired women's clothing, shoes, and accessories.

Tina Tang Studio: eco-friendly handmade jewelry.

Li-Lac Chocolates: delectable handmade confections.

O&CO: specialty olive oil products.

The Broadway Panhandler: fine cookware and fun tableware.

Hudson Street Papers: unique cards and stationery.

Zoomies: pet boutique.

Vintage New York: the only store devoted entirely to the wines of New York State.

C.O. Bigelow: the famous West Village pharmacy and cosmetic shop.

McNally Jackson Books: books for a quiet afternoon in Washington Square Park.

Originally called the Hotel Earle, the Washington Square Hotel, the oldest and largest hotel in Greenwich Village, was once home to famous names such as Ernest Hemingway, Bob Dylan, Bill Cosby, and Bo Diddley. It has undergone extensive renovations in recent years, now offering amenities such as pillow top mattresses, complimentary high-speed and wireless Internet connection and access, a redesigned lobby, a welcoming bar, and the award winning North Square restaurant.
