‘Dirty Dancing’ Lives On at Canada’s
Delawana Inn Resort

Nostalgia, family traditions, dancing competitions and pool parties can be found just ninety minutes north of Toronto. If you are a fan of the movie, Dirty Dancing, you’ll love the Delawana Inn Resort on Georgian Bay in Muskoka, Ontario, Canada. In fact, it’s so much like the resort in the movie, that it’s dubbed Canada’s “Kellerman Lodge”.

The resort, now in its 111th year, attracts repeat visitors year after year. Grandparents who visited the resort as children with their parents in the past are now bringing their grandchildren to join the family summer vacation.

Spokesman, Gary Don, says "Seldom does a week go by in the summer when a former guest doesn't express thanks for keeping the family memories alive. We interpret this as a compliment to our fun family program that includes a daily recreation and social program including dance contests, pool parties, movies, and just good old fashioned family fun."

Don adds, "I'm talking about more than just Johnny Castle; more than just the amazing location and facilities. Kellerman's had heart and soul. Staying there, you weren't just a guest. You were part of a family; and just like Kellerman's, when you and your family stay at the Delawana; you're a part of ours." And, to keep the memories alive, families staying at the Delawana this summer can participate in contests with a chance to win tickets to "Dirty Dancing" at Toronto's Famous Royal Alexandra Theatre.
