The Most Seductive Menu in New YorkBy Madelyn Miller, The TravelLadyAfter almost a month in New York eating fabulous meals and researching cocktails for www.cocktails.com and chocolate for www.chocolateatlas.com you would think that I would have read enough menus and thought about enough food. But who said Enough is Enough?
I just got the Valentine’s Menu from Moda and I have to share it with someone. (Since I will be out of the country on Valentine’s Day, this is a hypothetical sharing). So go ahead and enjoy it without me. This Valentine’s Day, MODA, the signature Italian restaurant of the chic Flatotel, offers lovers a specially designed aphrodisiac-infused menu for couples looking to spice up their Valentine’s Day fare! Executive chef Eric Mason has created a tantalizing menu serving up much more than the typical Valentine’s Day delectables. I can fantasize about this menu. Valentine’s Day
Amuse-Bouche Scallop with citrus dressing
Cheese, Olives, Homemade Foccacia ( choice of one)
Insalata Rucola e Asiago Asian pear, yellow beets with white balsamic Warm Shrimp with White beans With garlic & sage ( choice of one)
Grilled Salmon with Squash Orange fennel sauce Beef Bracciole Slow cooked with Merlot and root vegetables Pollo Arrosto al Limone Squash and asparagus ( choice of one)
Tiramisu With biscotti Moda’s Chocolate Cake With Orange Caramel and Fresh Berries
Dolci Plate Cookies, Macaroons, Biscotti, Dry Fruits and Nuts
Limoncello $79 per person (plus NYC tax & 18% gratuity)
For sweethearts who can’t give their other half diamonds on this special day, MODA offers culinary jewels in its amuse-bouche, or “little bites of food,” sure to stir the appetite. MODA’s amuse-bouche consists of a sensual serving of scallops with citrus dress, perfect for those looking for love (as citrus fruits are a proven aphrodisiac.)* MODA’s mouthwatering Valentine’s Day dishes vary from Grilled Salmon with Squash to Beef Bracciole (which is known to enhance mental alertness and concentration, so happy pairs can focus all their attention on one another.)*
Love-birds will also satisfy their sweet tooth for this sweet occasion with MODA’s incredible desserts. The unforgettable Chocolate Cake is the perfect treat, as the cocoa plant, from which chocolate derives, is known to amplify the feeling of being in love.* Also featured on the menu is Tiramisu, a fitting addition as the famous dessert’s name means, “pick me up,” in Italian because of its intoxicating ingredients and light and airy taste, some even say that Tiramisu was used as a seduction tool for women of ill-repute in the old country.** Now that’s Amore!
