Wild West Charters

British Columbia Coast

Discover the Queen Charlottes and Langara Island, British Columbia's most northwestern coastline with all its natural splendor, in total comfort aboard Wild West Charter’s Moondancer II, a 50' Gulf Commander yacht, available now for private fishing charter.

Navigated by proprietors Earl and Shirley Stoessiger, Wild West Charters offers two exciting fishing charter packages aboard Moondancer II! The Saturday-Monday trip, for those enthusiasts who are a little short on time and the Tuesday-Friday trip, for those who prefer an extra day to relax and enjoy the spectacular seascapes and extraordinary angling.  Either way, guests will enjoy getting far away from the maddening crowds of urban life to relax amidst the culture, wildlife, beautiful scenery, and above all, incomparable world-class salmon fishing.

With charters available from May 7 through September 15, 2002, rates are CDN$1,600 per person for the Saturday through Monday charters which take guests from Edenshaw to Shag Rock.  The Tuesday through Friday charter runs from Edenshaw to Langara Island and is priced at CDN$2,100 per person.*  Prices include GST, transportation from/to the Masset Airport, all meals, accommodations, bedding/towels, fishing gear and “on-the-spot” fish care.  Not included in these rates are airfare, which can be arranged through Montair Aviation (888-666-8247) or flights on Harbour Air Seaplane (800-689-4232) for those who might prefer to travel to Prince Rupert first; personal fishing licenses; alcoholic beverages; and customized packaging and shipping, which is available in Masset.

The targeted species of fish include Chinook (tyee) and Coho salmon, with halibut Dungeness crab and other groundfish available.

Moondancer II is equipped with all the modern navigational electronics, as well as the latest safety/fishing equipment. There are two private staterooms and a salon for

sleeping arrangements, and two heads with a shower for your comfort. Charters are limited to four people to ensure privacy and personalized service.

All meals are prepared by hostess and Chef Shirley Stoessiger.  Shirley uses locally grown and harvested produce, meats and seafood…the succulent Dungeness crab being a favorite.

So just sit back and relax in total comfort aboard the Moondancer II and let Wild West Charters guide you to the biggest, hungriest, fight'nest chinook salmon in British Columbia.

Prices are subject to change and customized trips are available.  A 50% deposit is required to hold reservations and the balance is due 60 days prior to arrival date.  Cancellation policy applies.
