WINE, WOMEN AND YOGAEdited by Madelyn Miller Medical experts have been reporting findings for a while now that prove wine in moderation is good for our health, and recent headlines in the NEW YORK TIMES proclaim the merits of the latest sensation sweeping the nation: wine and yoga.
South Coast Winery Resort & Spa announced that it will be taking this concept to a whole new dimension with a very special Women’s Wine and Wellness weekend. The event, scheduled for March 9-11, has been designed exclusively for women by women; and according to South Coast Winery’s Spa Director, Ms. Wendy Rahier, “We’ve added an extra component to the wine and yoga concept that will include meditation; this, coupled with specially selected spa treatments available on site, will further enhance participants’ balance and harmony." I can do this. I can drink wine. And I love to do Yoga. I am so glad all these things are suddenly moved up to A-list trendy and considered healthy The Resort lined up two dynamic speakers in Southern California to facilitate its first-ever Wine and Wellness event. According to Rahier, the event’s speakers are both acclaimed authors and specialists in their fields. They will be on site for the entire weekend to teach, nurture and coach participants to be all that they can be by combining the perfect mix of great wine, good food, meditation and yoga. The ultimate goal, states Rahier, is that “a whole new ‘you’ heads back to reality on Sunday afternoon after a fabulous weekend, feeling fully relaxed, renewed and reconnected.” The all-inclusive Wine and Wellness weekend includes two nights’ accommodations in a luxury vineyard villa, all meals, two signature spa treatments at the GrapeSeed Spa, all sessions with internationally renowned author and vibrational meditation specialist Caroline Reynolds and Chopra-style yoga instructor and acclaimed food and wine enthusiast, Ms. Lynn Alley. While space will be limited, the weekend’s sessions promise to be fun, informative and designed to empower participants with the confidence, wisdom and the sense of well-being that they desire. South Coast Winery Resort & Spa is a 38-acre destination property located in the heart of Temecula’s Wine Country that provides quality times and produces award-winning wines.
