New Orleans' Belladonna Day Spa Pledges to be Kind-Hearted on Behalf of
Tsunami Victims
Edited By Madelyn Miller, the travellady
For the months of February and March, Belladonna Day Spa
will be focused on raising funds to benefit the victims of the Asian tsunami
disaster. They have named their focus “Be Kind-Hearted.” Be Kind-Hearted will be
donating money raised from product sales, service sales, and special events to
Unicef for tsunami relief.
They hope to bring more awareness to clients, staff and
community about the tsunami that wiped away homes, schools, and health
facilities while demolishing thousands of kilometers of roads, bridges and power
lines and irrevocably altered the lives of millions of people. Over 157,000
people were killed, 27,194 missing, and over 1 million people have been
displaced.
Staff will be wearing white tee shirts and lapel pins with
the Be Kind-Hearted logo. These tee shirts and pins will be available for
purchase for the months of February and March.
They have chosen products throughout the spa around which
red ribbons will be tied. We will donate 5% of the sales of these products for
the months of February and March to tsunami relief. Clients can contribute by
purchasing these red-ribbon products.
Special services were for these Be Kind-Hearted months and
the spa will donate $5.00 to tsunami relief for each of the special services
received.
Be kind-hearted spa services
Be a chocoholic: the choco-palooza
Body deluxe
3 hours $225.00
For those of you who have that never-ending fascination with anything
chocolate, Belladonna Day Spa has developed this sinfully delicious service just
for you. You start your Chocopalooza in a serenely romantic still bath, laced
with chocolate and raspberry sprinkles filled with nourishing almond oil,
exquisite salts, and healing extracts while you listen to one of the Be on the
Right Track Romance CD’s. You can feel yourself surrender, especially after one
of our scrumptious chocolate truffles. You are then escorted to one of our
treatment rooms, where your massage therapist will begin a light exfoliation
using a raspberry scrub, rich in vitamin B and aloe vera. This gentle scrub will
enhance the appearance of your skin and prepare you for your Chocolate Surrender
Body Treatment, a chocolate body mask rich and soothingly smooth, and great for
any skin type, especially after a hard, cold winter. Relax while you are
cocooned in the mask and your therapist massages your face, neck and scalp. You
follow this service with a shower. Returning to the table, your therapist
utilizes “raspberry syrup” to massage the remaining stress from your body. We
apply our infamous Relief Gel to get at those extra difficult spots in your back
and then apply a decadent chocolate paraffin to melt away those stress and
strains. Then enjoy a 50 minute massage utilizing our chocolate syrup massage
oil to complete your Choco-palooza.
Mini choco-palooza

Not all of us can be THAT indulgent time wise, but who says you can’t do the
abbreviated choco-palooza. In a mini version of the previous service we do a
scrumptious exfoliation using our raspberry scrub to enhance the appearance of
your skin and prepare for the Chocolate Surrender Body Treatment, the chocolate
body mask rich and lusciously hydrating to winter dehydrated skin. You shower
and return to the table for our Chocolate Stress Relief utilizing a chocolate
whip crème, a silky moisturizer rich in willow and aloe vera, and calorie free,
our Relief Gel, and then the chocolate paraffin. A massage application of our
chocolate whip crème follows.
Manicure au chocolat

chocolate truffles while your hands are completely pampered in chocolate and
raspberry products designed to treat and repair your hands. The chocolate nutty

avocado oil, vitamins and nutritious meadow foam seed oil to do their thing.
Then enjoy a massage using “raspberry syrup,” rich in antioxidizing vitamins and
extracts. Submerge your hands in the utmost of decadence, chocolate and
raspberry paraffin, known for its ultra hydrating benefits. You end your

the feet in chocolate sprinkles, which will raise anyone’s spirits and relax the
mind. We then exfoliate rough dry skin with our Chocolate Blizzard, a natural
sea salt scrub infused with rich oils and extracts to assist in revitalizing
dull skin. A delicious cocoa aroma enhances the whole experience. Raspberry
syrup enticingly caresses the feet and legs to surrender all remaining stress.
We then apply the Chocolate Surrender Mask that is utterly and deliciously
soothing to the feet. Enjoy your chocolate truffles, fantasize to the Be on the
Right Track Romance CD and indulge in the chocolate whip crème application to
finish such an enticing treatment.
S.W.A.K facial
1 hour $95.00
The S.W.A.K. Facial, developed to help clients address the damage a harsh
winter can wreak on our skin, from fluctuating temperatures, to dry heat, and
flaky skin. The S.W.A.K. Facial is the most gentle of all our facials using all
natural ingredients known for their hydrating and rejuvenating benefits. Yogurt,
honey, and essential oil of rose are used to gently exfoliate away dry, flaky
skin while drenching the skin with much needed restorative emollients.
Following a relaxing pressure point massage they apply a
powerful DNA skin repair complex that helps speed cell renewal, tighten pores
and dramatically increase your skin’s moisture level. Top that with a super
hydrating rose, oat, and honey mask and seal it with an intensely hydrating pure
collagen blanket infused with soothing extracts of aloe vera, and your skin will
be supple and totally transformed. Spring is not far away.

Chef Hilly Blondheim has put his culinary skills to good use and turned a
simple boyhood treat into a life-saving instrument in the fight against breast
cancer. Whether its sprinkled on top of fruit or ice cream, to enhance the
flavor of coffee or a smoothie, blended into waffle or pancake batter, used in a
chocolate martini, sampled as fondue, or simply to make the best cup of hot
chocolate you have ever tasted, the possibilities for this gourmet chocolate mix
are endless.

Total Body Chocolate Experience
The Golden Door Spa in Carefree, Arizona offers the Chocolate Champagne Body
Wrap. This Valentine's Day-inspired treatment teases the senses with
tantalizing aromas while rejuvenating the skin. The treatment begins with a
double exfoliation using chocolate, Ayurvedic herbs and natural fruit acids. An
anti-oxidant mask of vitamins, green tea, chocolate and fruit of choice is then
applied to the body and spritzed with champagne or healing vanilla water. The
guest is wrapped like a delectable morsel while the active elements begin to
renew and restore the body. Following a light shower, the body is caressed with
an intensive hydrating cream. This unforgettable sensory adventure concludes
with the guest's choice of custom-made chocolate in the same taste as the body
treatment.

Most Erotic Chocolate Opportunity
Todos Santos in Santa Fe, New Mexico offers a chocolate
kama sutra set. Since I visited right after Valentine’s Day, they were sold out.
Not surprisingly, they cost $69. They can ship them anywhere with a weeks
notice. I am sorry I could not photograph them to give my readers a titillating
preview.
Another interesting offering is “after dinner saints”. You
could also use them after any sin. Saint boxes cost $28 for a box of four, $56
for a box of eight and $84 for twelve saints. I wonder what sins you commit
would need a dozen saints for redemption?
