Eco-Chic Fantasy Weddings
at 9 Beaches Resort in Bermuda

Bermuda’s 9 Beaches resort offers couples a venue for an ecologically sound ceremony in one of the most spectacular natural settings in the world.

The resort offers a package deal, based on 40 guests, for an unforgettable wedding. Highlights include: six bottles of organic champagne, a three or four tiered organic wedding cake, organic boutonnieres, bouquets, floral cake topper, and eco-centerpiece.

The newlyweds are invited to help Bermuda's nearly extinct Bermuda Cedar trees rebound by planting a seedling, which can be labeled with a personalized name plate. They can then visit their own tree when they return for anniversary celebrations.

Aptly named, 9 Beaches boasts nine private beaches situated on 18 acres and some of the most beautiful water in Bermuda. The guest rooms consist of 84 soft-sided cabanas on stilts. All with verandas and a stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean. Some have Plexiglas floor panels revealing the tropical fish swimming underneath.

Dining is casual, with three different dining venues: Hi Tide with a full complement of menu options, Dark N Stormy's, the beachfront bar and grill, and A La Carte, providing a convenient way to order and eat anywhere on the resort.

Boredom is not an option here. Guests can take their pick of boating in Hobie Catamarans, sailboards, and sea kayaks, paddleboats or the Reef Comber, a glass bottom boat which goes out six miles to the Reef Flats for a look at coral and marine life. The more adventurous can snorkel or snuba (a snorkeling-scuba hybrid) to the wreck of the HMS Vixen, an 1860’s twin-screwed ironclad just off the coast of one of the beaches. The more relaxed can bob aboard a floating lounge or relax on one of the aqua decks.

The techies can download with Wi-Fi (high-speed wireless connections) over various hot spots around the resort or use the complementary Internet station. iPods with music to fit just about every taste also are available. And, all guests receive a complementary Bermuda cell phone (one per cabana) for free local calls and to avoid incoming international call roaming charges.
