Fairmont Hotels And Resorts Offers New Mouth-Watering Packages
Travelers looking for an authentic taste of a city’s local
flavor should consider new travel packages designed to enlighten taste buds
offered by Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in the central United States.
Guests
can peruse through some of the Chicago area’s best farms and local purveyors
while Fairmont Chicago’s Executive Chef, Noah Bekofsky, acts as their personal
shopper and chef with the “Shop With Chef” package. The half-day program
includes transportation from the hotel to and from the Green City Market, the
city’s largest outdoor market specializing in local and fresh produce and
products. Participants will shop with Bekofsky, participate in cooking
demonstrations from famous Chicago chefs, and meet farmers from the Midwest. The
program also includes a gourmet lunch prepared by Bekofsky. This program is
available the fourth Wednesday of every month, from May to September and is
priced at $100 plus tip.

Visitors can celebrate the art of food, wine and spirits in
New Orleans, a city renowned for its distinctive flavors. The “Savor New
Orleans” package at the Fairmont New Orleans provides guests the opportunity to
experience demonstrations and hands-on cooking classes at Culinaria, a
state-of-the-art cooking school in the restored 1850s mansion of Duncan Kenner,
a wealthy Civil War era citizen. The package includes one night in a Fairmont
guestroom and a cooking class for one or two people.
Participants
can either relax and observe the class or roll up their sleeves and work
alongside the chef. Classes include wine and spirits pairings and conclude with
a multi-course meal in the mansion’s formal dining salon. Lunch and dinner
classes are approximately three hours long and offered every weekday except
Thursday. The “Savor New Orleans” package teaches cooking lessons that guests
can carry with them for years to come. The package is available through December
31, 2005, and rates start at $250 for one person and $275 for two people.

“Dinner Date Package” at Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston is a unique way to
