British Antique Dealers' Association Antiques & Fine Art Fair Showcases Britain's Best in Art, Design, and Fashion

More than the finest in British antiques and art will be showcased at the ninth annual British Antique Dealers' Association Antiques & Fine Art Fair, scheduled from March 21-27, 2001 at the Duke of York's Headquarters in London's fashionable Chelsea district. Events will include a top-flight fashion show, a charity gala, culinary demonstration, a wine tasting and lectures on Victorian design and country homes.

The year 2001 marks the centenary of the death of Queen Victoria and The BADA Fair will be among many exhibits in London throughout the year, focusing on Victorian art and design. The BADA Fair will also include a preview of the most important pieces to be featured in the new British Galleries of the Victoria & Albert Museum, opening in November 2001.

The show is Britain's leading national antiques fair and last year was voted "Fair of the Year" at the British Antiques and Collectibles Awards. The shortlist included The Grosvenor House Art and Antiques Fair and The Olympia Fine Art and Antiques Fair (June). The Fair was judged on its elegant design, first-class catering and quality of events.

About 100 dealers from around the United Kingdom will exhibit. The BADA Fair will offer a wide variety of antiques and fine art including furniture; paintings; drawings; glass; ceramics; clocks and barometers; treen; textiles; silver and jewelry. Visitors to the Fair can buy with confidence in the knowledge that the Fair is strictly vetted and each exhibitor is a member of the British Antique Dealers' Association.

Tickets for the BADA Fair cost £10 (approximately $15) for a single ticket, £15 (approximately $22.50) for a double. All tickets include a BADA Yearbook and one re-entry pass per person. The BADA Yearbook provides an essential guide not only to the Fair but also as a reference to the entire Membership, which encompasses many of the country's leading dealers.

For more information, call toll-free at 1-877-872-0778, or visit the BADA site.
